Emergency services
When you have an emergency and need immediate assistance, please call 112, or make sure that someone else has called 112
Please remember
112 goes directly to the alarm centre, where you must ask for ambulance, fire brigade or police, and you must remember to state
Do not expose yourself or others to unnecessary risks and you should try to remain calm and help others to do the same.
Keep being safe
Wherever you stay, you should inform yourself of the basic fire safety procedures on site. You should for example be aware of safe escape routes and the location of exits. At selected locations such as hotels, there must be information about how you should react to fire or sudden evacuation.
The Fire Department of Herning
The Fire Department is responsible for action concerning accidents that happen within the municipal boundaries.
Examples can be fires, structural collapse accidents, accidents involving all types of transport, train accidents, aircraft accidents on land, natural disasters, acute accidents involving dangerous substances on land and in lakes and streams.
The Fire Department also has the task of preventing accidents and fires e.g. by making fire inspections of businesses with a high risk of fire and places where many people are gathered. Giving permits to large temporary events is also one of our tasks.
